KNOCKOUT – WHO IS PUNCH?!
November 17, 2011
We get a few inquires asking about PUNCH. Some people say he’s awfully cute. Others don’t understand what a boxing glove has to do with pest control. So allow me the opportunity to answer some of these questions and tell everybody – WHO PUNCH IS.
PUNCH is our KO-12 Program mascot. He came to be earlier this year as part of a promotion to let all New Yorkers know about the amazing Residential & Commercial Pest Control KO-12 Program that KNOCKOUT PEST CONTROL has and to help spotlight the amazing promotional offers KNOCKOUT PEST CONTROL has periodically throughout the year.
Why did we want to come up with a special mascot just for our KO-12 Program? Because it is special! Imagine having to call a pest control service each time you have a pest problem. Once maybe for a mouse in your basement or kitchen. And then maybe for an ant problem. Or a wasp nest right under the eaves by your bedroom window or above the front door, with yellow jackets swooping down and intimidating your family and guests. Wow, five or six individual house calls? That would run into a lot of money.
Or worse, how many pests do you overlook and avoid calling a pest control company to deal with the problem all by yourself, just because it’s too much trouble and will cost you extra. Some people try to deal with fruit flies, pantry moths, swarms of pumpkin beetles and stink bugs infestation problems all by themselves when they don’t have to. And there are others who avoid dealing with that hive of bees way high up on a roof; the nest is too high up and the bees aren’t bothering anybody... until it’s discovered that they are Carpenter Bees digging into your roof line creating holes that will leak rain water and destroy the roofs integrity. Or maybe water bugs in the basement, lots of people have water bugs right? Wrong! Nobody wants to share their living space with pests that carry diseases and parasites. Unbeknownst to many people most insects share the basementg with a host of other pests like: millipedes, centipedes, and silverfish, all working their way up to the day-to-day living, eating, and sleeping space. And insects in your basement are a great food source for mice and rats.
Basically then KNOCKOUT PEST CONTROL’s KO-12 Program is your very own exterminator/pest control service at your beck and call. Not only do we come ON DEMAND, but a KO-12 Program means we also provide Regular CHECK-UPS. I can’t begin to tell you how many of our KO-12 customers thank us when we spot a pest issue before it becomes a problem.
So PUNCH stands for the “KNOCKOUT PUNCH” all of our KO-12 Program customers get every time they call for service, plus PUNCH ties into our KNOCKOUT PEST CONTROL company name and tagline – “we don’t have this big red boxing glove for nothing”, but it also helps convey the idea of our champion knockout punch approach in dealing with residential and commercial pests - battling all twelve rounds – all 12 months a year.
You’ll see PUNCH on our website, at tradeshows, educational events, and on flyers. We hope you like PUNCH and think about our KO-12 Program and all of the benefits it offers - from ON DEMAND SERVICE to ON GOING ROUTINE CHECK-UPS.
And... yeah... we think PUNCH is cute too. But don’t underestimate him or us. When it comes to pest problems... we knock ‘em out everytime.

How could such a cute little fellow be a ruthless killer?
Punch is adorable. I want to know if I purchase a ko-12 plan, do I also get a t-shirt with Punch?
