KNOCKOUT – Yeah, We know how to kill Resistant Bed Bugs – That's Why People Keep Calling Us.

We’ve gotten several e-mails and phone calls over the last couple of days asking us to comment on the recent stories broadcast on NPR and in the Wall Street Journal, of January 20th, 2011, regarding the recent findings of Ohio State University – that Bed Bugs in the US are developing enzymes that can cleanse them from poisons in pesticides. Studies out of Germany and the UK say the same; that it’s becoming more and more difficult to kill bed bugs with conventional pesticides.

At KNOCKOUT PEST CONTROL, we’ve been witnessing this resistance process first hand in the field. We may not have been analyzing the RNA sequences of the biochemical genetic activity of Bed Bugs in a laboratory, but we see these highly resistant Bed Bugs every day. These bed bugs are evolving because of the inadequate use of weak over the counter Bed Bugs treatments, the improper application of professional pesticides by some exterminators, the lack of a thorough bed bug eradication treatment because of lack of proper effort, and one of the MOST IMPORTANT the use of ALTERNATIVE Bed Bug eradiation techniques. Like the Cryonite FREEZING process. Sure Bed Bugs, are developing enzymes that can better process toxins into water and pass them out. But Bed Bugs CANNOT defend themselves from turning into ICE CRYSTALS in a matter of a NANO SECONDS - Cannot prevent their interiors from exploding. Nope. They haven’t gotten around that yet. And then there are Bed Bug Hot Boxes, which also use extreme temperatures to kill bed bugs.

A shout out from the other side of the pond - I found your blog – very interesting.  We have a bed bug problem here in England, but apparently not as much as you folks.  They are hard to kill and even harder to find so wiping them all out can be tough.  I will now seek out a company that uses the freezing process.  Thank you so much for providing this information and keep up the good work.
